State Bar of Georgia Honors Outstanding Sections

Atlanta – The State Bar of Georgia Privacy & Technology Law Section, chaired by Christina D. McCoy of Atlanta, has been honored with the 2021-22 Section of the Year Award.

Receiving the Section Awards of Achievement were the:

  • Equine Law Section, chaired by Philip H. Burrus IV of Burrus Intellectual Property Law Group in Atlanta;
  • Health Law Section, chaired by Keri F. Conley of the Georgia Hospital Association in Atlanta; and 
  • Taxation Law Section, chaired by Jeffrey L. Cohen of Bomar Law Firm LLC in Atlanta.

These awards honor outstanding sections of the State Bar each year for their members’ dedication and service to their areas of law practice and for devoting significant hours of volunteer effort to the profession.

The State Bar has 52 practice sections that serve both the legal profession and the public. These voluntary sections provide newsletters, programs and the chance to exchange ideas with other practitioners.
