Georgia legal community mourns loss of Clay Milling

Daily Report

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Atlanta attorney R. Clay Milling II after his very untimely passing on Oct. 9.

A member of the Georgia Bar since 1991, Mr. Milling began his legal career with Alston & Bird and was a founding member of Henry Spiegel Milling LLP. A leader among his peers, Mr. Milling served on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, as chair of the Georgia Civil Justice Political Action Committee and as Georgia’s state delegate to the American Association of Justice.

Clay Milling’s exemplary lifetime of service is an inspiration to all members of the legal community. We are appreciative of his many generous contributions to the cause of justice in our state. He will be missed and fondly remembered.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
