Congratulations to new Solicitor General Brooklyn Franklin

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Brooklyn R. Franklin on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as solicitor general for the Long County State Court.

Ms. Franklin will be well served by her eight years of experience in the legal profession, including the past seven years as an assistant district attorney for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit and as interim solicitor general for Long County since March of this year.

By accepting this appointment, Ms. Franklin demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of prosecutorial leadership.
