To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director D. Victor “Vic” Reynolds and Deputy Attorney General Julie Adams Jacobs on their appointments by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as Superior Court judges for the Cobb Judicial Circuit.
Judge Reynolds will be well-served by his 36 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including service as Cobb County’s district attorney, as chief judge of the Cobb County Magistrate Court and in private law practice with the firm of Berry & Reynolds. He is also a former police officer.
Judge Jacobs brings 19 years of legal experience to her new position, having served as deputy attorney general of the Commercial Transactions and Litigation Division of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office. She also served as hearing officer in numerous hospital acquisitions under the Georgia Hospital Acquisition Act and represented the state in trial and litigation matters in state and federal courts.
Through their acceptance of these appointments, Judge Reynolds and Judge Adams demonstrate their continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish them well in their new positions of judicial leadership.
Sincerely,
Sarah B. “Sally” Akins
