Congratulations to new Superior Court Judge Shannon Wallace

To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Cherokee County District Attorney Shannon G. Wallace on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, covering Cherokee County.
Judge Wallace will be well served by her 20 years of experience in the legal profession, including prior service as a prosecutor in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit and later as chief assistant district attorney for the Blue Ridge Circuit. She also serves the community as a board member of Cherokee FOCUS, a collaborative that focuses on creating strong family units, and Cherokee Triad – S.A.L.T.
By accepting this appointment, Judge Wallace demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We extend our best wishes to her in this new role.
