Congratulations to new Coweta Solicitor General Amy Godfrey

The Newnan Times-Herald

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to extend congratulations to Coweta County Chief Assistant Solicitor Amy B. Godfrey on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as solicitor general of Coweta County.

Ms. Godfrey will be well served by her 20 years of experience in the legal profession, including the past 12 years as chief assistant solicitor and her prior service in private law practice and as town solicitor for the Tyrone Municipal Court. She is a past president of the Newnan-Coweta Bar Association and has served as acting solicitor general in Coweta County since January.

By accepting this appointment, Amy Godfrey demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this capacity of prosecutorial leadership.

Sincerely,

J. Antonio “Tony” DelCampo
President, State Bar of Georgia
