On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime attorney Robert P. "Bob" Wilson of Watkinsville on his recent passing.
During a distinguished career in the legal profession that spanned more than five decades, Mr. Wilson was engaged in the practice of law in Decatur for more than 30 years before relocating to the Watkinsville area.
He was active in professional service as a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Marine Corps Lawyers of Georgia, the Decatur-DeKalb Bar Association and the Atlanta Lawyers Club. He also served his country as a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Bob Wilson's exemplary lifetime of service is an inspiration to all Georgia lawyers. We are appreciative of his many contributions to the cause of justice in our state and nation.
