State Bar Building Access

The State Bar offices in Atlanta, Savannah and Tifton are open and stand ready to assist members in person if their comfort level allows.

REVISED POLICY REGARDING MASKS IN THE STATE BAR OFFICES
Effective: March 3, 2022

The following health protocols have been established for visitors entering the State Bar of Georgia headquarters in Atlanta, and the Coastal and South Georgia offices in Savannah and Tifton:

Visitors entering the Bar Center or visiting the common areas of the State Bar offices generally are not required to wear a mask or socially distance, but may choose to wear a mask or socially distance.
In accordance with CDC and DPH guidance, visitors must wear an appropriate mask following quarantine or isolation due to exposure to or infection by COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms. An appropriate mask is an N95 or KN95 mask, or a disposable surgical mask covered by a cloth mask, that fits well and is covering the nose and mouth.

Visitors must also wear an appropriate mask and comply with social distancing requirements where indicated by signs in specific areas.

Note: The State Bar of Georgia continues to clean and frequently disinfect public areas such as elevators, lobbies, and restrooms, and hand sanitizing stations remain available for use throughout the building.

Questions: If you have any questions about this policy, please contact State Bar Office Manager Mary McAfee at 404-527-8775.

Reserving Meeting Space

One of the benefits of Bar membership is using the Bar facilities for law-related meetings. While most of the requirements for reserving rooms remain the same at the Bar Center, please be aware that masks must be worn inside the building and social distancing guidelines should be followed in rooms. Coffee is not being provided at this time. To reserve a room at the Bar Center, contact Faye First at fayef@gabar.org.

Reserving rooms in either of the satellite offices must be done 48 hours in advance and is on a first-come, first-served basis. With social distancing guidelines in place, there is a limit to the number of people that can be accommodated per room (max. 15). No outside food or drink is allowed, so plan to break for lunch off site. To reserve a room in the Savannah office, contact Kindall Harville at kindallh@gabar.org. To reserve a room in the Tifton office, contact LaCara Reddick at lacarar@gabar.org.

ICLE Update

The Institute of Continuing Legal Education of the State Bar of Georgia continues livestream programming and offers in-person attendance at many programs.

In addition to livestream and in-person programming, ICLE maintains a library of webcasts with new content uploaded periodically for members to fulfill CLE requirements virtually through on-demand webcasts. Please find a list of available programs here.

We will continue to reevaluate and reassess the health situation as it evolves and provide future updates regarding programmatic changes. The State Bar appreciates the volunteer efforts of all chairs and speakers. Protecting the health and safety of our speakers, staff and members remains our paramount concern.
