To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA) President George R. Hall of Augusta after his very untimely passing Sept. 26.

A member of the Georgia Bar since 1987, Mr. Hall worked his entire career with the Hull Barrett law firm in Augusta, where he was a partner for the past 30 years and served on the firm’s management board. In addition to his service as GDLA president, he was a past president of the Augusta Bar Association was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He was known among his colleagues for his honesty, respect, humility and professionalism.

George Hall’s exemplary career is an inspiration to all members of the legal community. We are appreciative of his many generous contributions to the cause of justice in our state. He will be missed and fondly remembered.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
