Congratulations to new U.S. Attorney Ryan Buchanan

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Ryan K. Buchanan on his confirmation and installation as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.
Mr. Buchanan, who was nominated by President Joe Biden at the recommendation of Georgia Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, will be well served by his 17 years of experience in the legal profession, including previous service as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Alabama and, since 2013, the Northern District of Georgia. He has also served as coordinator of the National Security and Anti-Terrorism Council and as deputy chief of the Violent Crime and National Security Section.
By accepting this appointment, Mr. Buchanan demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of federal prosecutorial leadership.
