Richard Campbell Re-Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar of Georgia

Atlanta – Richard D. Campbell of Richard D. Campbell LLC in Elberton was re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 52,000-member State Bar of Georgia and was installed June 4.

Campbell will continue to serve in the Northern Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the board, representing Elbert, Franklin, Hart, Madison and Oglethorpe counties. He earned his law degree from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1987. His law practice is focused on real estate law, corporate law, family law, wills and estates. He is city attorney for Bowman and previously served as judge of the Elbert County State Court. He is a past president of the Elberton Bar Association and the Northern Judicial Circuit Bar Association.

The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
