Congratulations to new Superior Court Judge Kevin Morris

To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Walton County Magistrate Court Judge G. Kevin Morris on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, covering Newton and Walton counties.
Judge Morris will be well served by his 23 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including prior service as deputy county attorney for Butts and Henry counties and in private practice with Williams, Morris & Waymire in Buford, where he represented local governments in municipal liability claims. He has also served the justice system as technology chair for the Council of Magistrate Court Judges.
Accepting this appointment is a demonstration of Judge Morris’ longstanding commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well as he assumes a new role in judicial leadership.
