Congratulations to new State Court Judge Ryan Hope

To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia congratulates Athens-Clarke County Municipal Court Judge Ryan S. Hope on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a judge for the State Court of Athens-Clarke County.
Judge Hope will be well served by his 22 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including prior service as a public defender for the University of Georgia Legal Aid Clinic and the Western Judicial Circuit Public Defender Office, as chief assistant solicitor for the Athens-Clarke County Solicitor General’s Office and, since 2017, as a Municipal Court judge.
Through his acceptance of this appointment, Judge Hope demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We extend our best wishes to him in this new role.
