Team Registration

This year’s registration process will be online instead of a mailed packet. We are registering only primary teams now. Registration for an additional team (if any) from your school will take place in November.

Please have only one coach from the team complete the registration.

Once it’s submitted, the coaches will receive a confirmation email that will contain a Registration Summary. If you are paying by check, mail the first page of this summary with the registration fee. All online forms must be submitted and registration fees received by the Mock Trial office by the end of the day Oct. 3 to avoid the late fee.

If paying by check, please mail it (with the first page of your printed registration confirmation) to: Rich Harris, Mock Trial Office, State Bar of Georgia, 104 Marietta St. NW, Suite 100, Atlanta 30303. 

Remember, the registration fee is $125 if received on or before Oct. 3, then on Oct. 4 goes up to $225 (late registration penalty, to encourage you to finish early). The absolute deadline to register is November 1.

New Coaches

If you are a new coach, whether for an established team or a brand-new team, you have a few opportunities to learn more about the nuts and bolts of the competition.

- Q&A via Zoom: Tuesday, Sept. 6, 4 – 5 p.m. This is a short session (which will not go into as much detail as the in-person orientations below) to answer any questions you have and provide some idea of what you’re getting into and what to expect. Please RSVP by emailing richardh@gabar.org.

- New Coach Orientation #1: Friday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., State Bar Conference Center, Atlanta. This is geared towards new coaches (teacher and attorney) to help get their team started with the case and get the season underway. Please RSVP by emailing richardh@gabar.org.

- New Coach Orientation #2: Wednesday, Jan. 11, State Bar Conference Center, Atlanta. More about this later.

Law Academy Update

We are still accepting applications for Law Academy, which will be held in-person at the State Bar conference center in Atlanta Sept. 29 - Oct. 2. More information can be found here.

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1. Any interested & eligible students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as we are approaching capacity.

Coaches: If you have been asked by a student to submit a letter of recommendation for their attendance at Law Academy, please submit it by Tuesday, Sept. 6.

This year's CIVIL case will be released Oct.12.
